Henry - the Lost Budgeriegar

4/4/2017

Comments

Saturday was spent shopping in Skipton, we arrived home late in the afternoon to find a beautiful budgie sitting on the branch of a ‘tree of heaven’. I do not know about other parts of the country but in West Yorkshire it is unusual.
Without too much coaching it was gently placed in a see through plastic box with a dish of wild bird food, all we had, and a bowl of water. It ate as if it had not seen food for a week, within half an hour my daughters agreed the box was too small, so searched for a much larger see through plastic box.
Henry, as we called our feathered lodger, was transferred into his new home. An old tea towel for a carpet and muslin cover over the top just in case Henry decided to do some investigating. I am told he looked much happier.
I walked around the area and called in at the local shop, knocked on a few doors and spoke to passers by trying to find where much loved Henry had come from, without success. Henry is now living with the RSPCA and we all hope he will soon be returned to his family. I am beginning to miss Henry already.

Tek care o’ thissen.
Jack
